Can the worsening of depression be from hypothyroidism?
I was at the GP yesterday with blood + urine results and she confirmed to me that I could have hypothyroidism, gave me a referral for thyroid ultrasound and prescribed a drug for hypothyroidism. I think my depression may be from hypothyroidism. Although a year ago TSH was normal, and I already had depression then. Only my depression got worse during this year, so maybe at least these deterioration is from hypothyroidism?

Without knowing your situation, the history of your illness, it is impossible to indicate what causes the deepening mood disorders. As you have noticed, thyroid abnormalities have been detected recently, and you have been suffering from depression longer. However, there is a relationship between hypothyroidism and the occurrence of depressive symptoms.
