The simultaneous use of valerian extract (Valdix Noc) and quetiapine (Ketrel) may increase side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, confusion and difficulty concentrating. If the simultaneous use of both preparations has not been recommended by a doctor, their combination should be avoided. If your doctor has prescribed Ketrel, follow these recommendations. Trying to replace prescription-only medicines with over-the-counter medicines can negatively affect the effectiveness of treatment, which is why this type of practice is discouraged.
