What to tell the psychologist at the beginning of the visit?

What to say to the psychologist at the very beginning of the visit, when I just enter the office? I prepared in my head that I would say, "I come to you because I have a long waiting period for psychotherapy and I would like to come to you at this time", but I'm not convinced that it's accurate and whether it's good to start with. I was with her for the first time in July 2020, then again in February 2022 and that's it, now I'm going because I will go to a psychotherapist in a year and during this time I do not want to wait idly

The scope of action and competence varies between the psychologist and the psychotherapist. We can always go to a psychologist - temporarily, if we feel the need. And you clearly feel the need to do so. Stress before each visit is understandable - this is completely normal and many people struggle with this problem. Please say what you feel, what you expect. The psychologist will ask you questions that will help determine what to do next. Unfortunately, I do not know your exact situation. Both psychologist, psychiatrist and psychotherapist are completely different professions, but each of them wants to help solve someone's problem as best as possible. Heads up, please do not be afraid :)
