Yes, you can use flaxseed (or more precisely its macerate) while taking an antibiotic and using throat tablets. It is very important to keep a minimum interval of 3 hours between medication and seeds. The mucus obtained as a result of maceration of flax seeds will have a coating effect on the walls of the gastrointestinal tract, which may interfere with the absorption and action of other drugs. It is best to use the seed in the morning, on an empty stomach (if possible). Another option may be to use lozenges with moisturizing properties, e.g. those containing Icelandic lichen, marshmallow or hyaluronic acid.
