It is certainly worth performing basic blood tests and determination of basic elements, e.g. iron and calcium. In a situation where you suspect that white spots are caused by deficiencies, it is worth informing your primary care physician who, based on your health, will order the most appropriate tests for you.

White spots on the nails may arise as a result of micro-injuries of the plate resulting from impact, indicate a disease or be the result of a deficiency of nutrients and minerals. White spots can appear as a result of deficiency of zinc, iron, potassium, magnesium, silicon, vitamins A, E and C, B vitamins and protein. Their cause may also be a deficiency or excess of calcium. In the case of using a balanced diet, and yet the formation of changes on the nails, it is worth doing blood tests. Whether a given painkiller is dangerous for a particular patient must be considered individually. For example, in people suffering from cardiac problems, preparations from the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) containing, for example, ketoprofen or naproxen, are a better choice, where these substances will not be recommended for patients struggling with problems with the gastrointestinal tract. For people suffering from liver disorders, paracetamol will be a harmful choice of analgesic, and for older people with multidrug without liver problems, a first-line drug. Therefore, it is impossible without knowing the state of health of a particular person to answer which painkillers are the most harmful. We can assume that the safest to take is non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), which are the fastest eliminated from the body. Taking into account this criterion, substances from the NSAID group can be listed in the following order (from the fastest to the longest eliminated): dexketoprofen, diclofenac, ibuprofen, ketoprofen, naproxen, meloxicam.
