In case of hypersensitivity to both penicillins (Duomox, Ampicillin) and Biseptol (consisting of: sulfamethoxazole, trimethoprim), the use of any other antibiotic should be preceded by a medical consultation. If you have warned your doctor that you are allergic to the above-mentioned antibiotics and have prescribed Clarithromycin, you should follow his recommendations. Clarithromycin is a completely different antibiotic and should not cause an allergic reaction, even if you have been allergic to other antibiotics. However, we are not 100% sure if there will also be an allergic reaction here, but there is really little risk about it. In case of alarming symptoms, please consult your specialist urgently.
