Over-the-counter symptomatic medicines such as constipation, lack of appetite, abdominal pain, nausea, heartburn, belching and flatulence are used, e.g. omeprazole, pantoprazole, simethicone or herbs (e.g. chamomile, licorice, linseed, marshmallow). In order to cure Helicobacter pylori infection (eradication), it is necessary to carry out therapy with the use of antibiotics (eg amoxicillin), metronidazole and bismuth.
