Ringworm is an infectious disease caused by various types of fungi - most commonly those of the genus Candida and Aspergillus. They are an increasingly common cause of disease and can affect one or more organs. Symptoms are non-specific, such as febrile conditions, so it is difficult to diagnose the infection correctly at times.
