Due to the fact that Sirdalud has a central effect on reducing skeletal muscle tension, it will affect the nature and strength of the pain. Sirdalud is a centrally acting drug that relaxes skeletal muscles. It acts mainly on the spinal cord and causes a decrease in excessive muscle tone. Sirdalud is used in: - treatment of painful muscle spasms - treatment of increased muscle tension in neurological diseases, e.g. in multiple sclerosis, chronic spinal cord diseases, degenerative diseases of the spinal cord, following a stroke and in cerebral palsy - associated with spinal disorders, e.g. lower spine pain, torticollis resulting from operations, e.g. hernia of the atherosclerotic nucleus or inflammation of the hip joint.
