Can Encorton be served in the evening?
Please answer until what time you can give a 9 year old child Encorton 5mg. The doctor prescribed us for laryngitis 1 x 1 tablet per day. I just forgot to ask if in the morning or in the afternoon (on the Internet I read that serve only in the morning). Can a strong suffocating cough be given in the evening?

Encorton should be given in the morning. According to the manufacturer: "In order to reduce the risk of inhibition of the hypothalamus - pituitary - adrenal axis, it is recommended to administer the drug once a day, in the morning, since in the morning there is the greatest secretion of endogenous corticosteroids." The drug has a long duration of action - after administration, the effect persists up to 1.5 days. Therefore, even if the child has a strong, suffocating cough in the evening - changing the time of administration of the drug will not improve the situation. If in the evening the cough is strong and suffocating - after consulting a doctor, you can consider the implementation of inhalation before bedtime, e.g. from a bronchodilator.
