What should I do if I got loose diarrhea while taking the first pack of Yaz contraceptive pills less than 2 hours after taking the pill. The situation repeated itself after another 5 hours. Is it enough to continue taking blister tablets at the usual time and take extra precautions?
How long does it take for the body to get used to the effects of the pills and diarrhea will not appear?

If you experience diarrhoea (i.e. at least 3 stools of excessively loose consistency) within 3-4 hours of taking the Yaz tablet, follow the instructions on how to skip a tablet. The procedure depends on the number of the missed tablet. In case of diarrhoea, please provide the number of the tablet taken. This will allow you to refine your answers.
A single loose stool (as suggested by the rest of the question "The situation repeated after another 5 hours") does not affect the effectiveness of the hormonal contraception used.
The adaptation period to the use of hormonal drugs lasts for the first 3-6 months of using the drug. After this time, the side effects you experience, such as irregular bleeding, should subside.
If loose stools occur frequently and do not go away, I encourage you to consult your doctor again. You can also take advantage of teleconsultation, e.g. via the Gdziepolek.pl portal:
