Hello, for two months I have had spotting (not bloody, brown light spotting) while using hormonal contraception yaz, my doctor recently recommended the use of estrofem mite for five days on any day of the cycle to stop spotting. I didn't ask if the drug yaz and estrofem mite should be used at the same time or if I shouldn't take the other while taking one?

If you experience spotting while using the Yaz hormonal contraceptive and your doctor has recommended Estrofem mite, it is important to understand how these medications can work together.
Estrofem mite is an estradiol-containing drug that is mainly used in hormone replacement therapy in postmenopausal women. It works by replenishing estrogen deficiencies, which can be important in the context of spotting, which can be the result of hormonal imbalance.
When used with Estrofem mite and Yaz concomitantly, there are no interactions between the two drugs. Usually, however, doctors advise caution when using different forms of hormones at the same time, as this can lead to additional side effects or menstrual cycle disorders.
If you have doubts about this situation, it is always worth consulting a doctor who can provide more personalized advice. If you are not able to take advantage of the advice, I attach a link to the online teleconsultation:
