Agomelatine can cause anxiety and difficulty breathing, however, these are rare side effects. It is worth bearing in mind that anxiety may intensify at the beginning of the treatment. If breathing difficulties persist, you should see a doctor immediately, as this may be due to an allergic reaction to the drug.
