Treatment of chronic hepatitis C with interferon-free therapy
Good morning, can you drink mint tea with epclus? I'm asking because the doctor has banned herbal teas in general and I don't know now if I can brew ❓ myself

An infusion of mint should not significantly affect the effectiveness of Epclusa, but if your doctor has not recommended drinking herbal teas, it is better to refrain from drinking them to avoid unexpected interactions, which is especially important when treating such serious conditions as hepatitis C.
From a pharmaceutical point of view, there is currently no specific evidence or warning on the interaction between Epclusa and mint infusion. Mint does not significantly affect drug-metabolizing enzymes in the liver (such as cytochrome P450) or stomach acidity, which could potentially interfere with the absorption of antiviral drugs such as Epclusa.
