The result of the cytology means that the test detected some changes in cells that are not completely normal, but also do not clearly indicate the presence of precancerous or cancerous changes. In such a situation, the doctor often recommends observation, additional tests (such as the HPV test) and the use of preparations such as Papilocare, which support the regeneration of the epithelium and prevent the damage associated with HPV infection.
A burning sensation after intercourse for both you and your partner may suggest an intimate infection, an allergic reaction (e.g. to condoms, lubricant, Papilocare gel), irritation or pH imbalance (the use of certain preparations or hormonal changes can affect the pH balance of the vagina, which can cause irritation after intercourse). Therefore, it is worth consulting a gynaecologist to perform appropriate tests and determine the cause of the burning sensation and implement appropriate treatment (e.g. in the case of an infection). Until the cause of the burning sensation is clarified, it is worth avoiding sexual intercourse so as not to aggravate the situation. Continue to use Papilocare gel as directed by your doctor.
