Whether Belakne Combi is a replacement for Epiduo Forte? How is it different Belakne Combi from Epiduo Forte?

Belakne Combi is not a substitute for Epiduo forte.

Belakne Combi, on the other hand, is equivalent to Epiduo. Both preparations contain the same content of active substances, i.e. 0.1% Adapalene and 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide. The preparations are produced by different manufacturers and contain other excipients.
For Belakne Combi, these are disodium edetate, sodium docusate, poloxamer 124, glycerol, propylene glycol (E1520), sorbitan oleate, Sepineo P 600 (acrylamide-sodium acrylyldimethyltaurate copolymer, isohexadecane, polysorbate 80), purified water.

For Epiduo, it is simulgel 600 PHA (acrylamide-sodium acrylyldimethyltaurate copolymer, dispersion 40% in isohexadecane, polysorbate 80, sorbitan oleate), sodium docusate, disodium edetate, glycerol, poloxamer 124, propylene glycol (E1520), purified water.

Differences in the composition of the excipients should not affect the overall effect of the medicine. Therefore, you can rely on the opinions of Epiduo (not Epiduo forte).

Epiduo forte has a higher content of one of the ingredients - namely Adapalene (0.3%) and cannot be used interchangeably with Belakne Combi. Adapalen has a beneficial effect on the keratosis process and normalizes the differentiation of epithelial cells, consequently reducing the formation of blackheads. Due to its anti-inflammatory effect, it reduces the occurrence of papules and pustules.
